The bags that I make capitalise on the 3-D possibilities of feltmaking; the only stitching in the handbags is for the zip pocket.

These containers have their own sculptural identity as well as being highly functional.  

The coarse fibres of Norwegian and Jacob wools are perfect for handbags, and I work the felt vigorously in order to make sure that the fibres are strongly felted together, giving results that are strong and durable. Rainwater will not harm the felt; any wetness should simply be brushed off; the contents will remain quite dry. Washing instructions are provided, should that be necessary.

A wide range of colours are available in the Norwegian wool; the Jacob wool is natural, undyed, and the shades of light and dark grey have wonderfully subtle hints of brown.
