The Bootlace neckpiece, as its name suggests, is reminiscent of the narrow 'bootlace' men's tie from around the 1940's.
Like smudge scarf, this piece can be worn by people who cannot tolerate wool fibres next to the skin. Hand-dyed silk jersey with merino wool fibres felted into its ends, producing a fabulously rich texture on the reverse, with edges that have been manipulated without the use of any stitching.
Bootlace may be worn very simply, in the classic doubled up scarf style, as may be seen on the Catalogue page, or may be arranged into a rosette type of style, as on this page - it depends how much the wearer enjoys creating their own look.
