Feltmaking workshops in Crowhurst Village Hall, Crowhurst, Battle, E.Sussex, TN33 9AL. (easily accessible by train - 5 mins walk from station, & is on the Charing Cross/Hastings line)

The following dates have now been arranged:

Saturday, 12 March 2011:  Bag/Beret - 3d feltmaking, using merino wool, for beginners; students may choose which they make.

Sunday, 20 March 2011: Scarf - sometimes known as 'nuno' felt, this workshop teaches felting into fabric, to produce a light, wearable felt, using merino wool & cotton muslin.

Sunday, 27 March 2011: Slippers. For more experienced feltmakers - students learn how to make the template for 3d feltmaking, and how to work with Jacob wool, coarser and not as easy to work with as merino, but good & strong for boots.

Materials are provided. Also a light vegetarian sandwich lunch, and lots of tea and coffee.

Cost £42 per student per day - classes limited to 12 students per day. Hours 10.00am - 4.30pm.
